Disney World: Day 3 - Monday

0
So, today is Jess's Birthday, and we got to start the day with a phone Call from Mickey and Minnie singing her Happy Birthday! It was unexpected, but it actually made her day. She wore her Birthday pin which requires all "Cast Members" (Any Disney Staff) to have to wish her a happy birthday. She placed the pin on her pants to not make it extremely annoying, but to also have the experience and fun of having it. Even people just walking in the park were telling her Happy Birthday once they would spy her pin.

The first and only park we hit today was Hollywood Studios. This park holds two of our favorite rides. The Tower of Terror which is based off of the Twilight Zone. This ride starts you off with walking into a hotel to which a hostess invites a group of people into a library. The lights go out and a TV starts up in the corner that explains a story of a group of people that had entered an elevator at this hotel on a stormy night and they were shocked into the Twilight Zone (or something like that). So after the lights go on, your host invites you to step out and puts you in line for your elevator. Once the doors open, you step into the elevator, sit down in your seat, and lock yourself in cause this elevator drops 12 stories. Since most of the ride is dark, you can't see a huge ton in the video, but it is enough to get the picture of what is going on.

The second favorite ride is the Rockin' Roller Coaster. This is a ride based off of the music legends of Aerosmith. The story for this one goes like this: You stand in line to meet these rock legends and finally get to make it into where they are. They are excited to see you, but then their manager breaks through the door explaining that they are supposed to be on a stage in just a few minutes at a venue across town. The manager tells everyone who has come to see Aerosmith that they can't see them. The band gets disappointed and it is suggested that the manager take all of us (the riders) with them. So the manager in slight disbelief gets on the phone and calls for a "Super Stretch Limo" to get us all to the concert... and Fast! So, you then head out to the "Street" to stand in line for your limo, and then get in and buckle up as they are wanting to get you there fast. The ride starts off with a major sudden increase of speed (0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds), and it is an inside roller coaster with all the lights out. The only thing you can see are road signs every so often that light up as you are going by them. This is a very fast paced roller coaster with curves, corkscrews and loopty loops. Unfortunately, since you are only watching the ride, all you can see is a shaky camera with a few road signs that go by every so often.

So Anyway, I am posting the Tower of Terror ride on Today's, but am going to wait until Thursday to post the Rockin' Roller Coaster in case I can get some better footage. So you will have to enjoy the Tower Of Terror ride only today. I am going to be posting 2 videos for it, one is the video introduction you watch, which is recorded from a distance so is not very good footage, and the other is the actual ride.
